BOSTON GLOW
Boston GLOW aims to foster opportunities for women of all ages to become empowered community leaders and active, engaged world citizens.

You can volunteer your time to support Boston GLOW in a number of ways:

- Fall Workshop Volunteer: work with young aspiring female writers one-on-one as part of one (or more) of our Fall 2011 Workshops.  Just two hours of your time can help inspire a young student to write creatively, to develop her voice, and to write and revise her work outside the classroom.

- Spitfire Event Volunteer: speak on a panel, sell tickets, help organize logistics or work registration.  These events are a great opportunity for interested supporters that are more comfortable contributing time on a one-off basis.

- IGNITE the NITE Event Volunteer: our annual IGNITE the NITE event, which raises scholarship funds for the finalists of the IGNITE Change Essay Contest, is a grassroots effort that requires many hands to facilitate.  From passing appetizers to facilitating the silent auction, collecting tickets to coat check, we always need help the day and night of the event to make the experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible for all who attend.

- IGNITE the NITE Fundraising Volunteer: in order to make our biggest fundraising event of the year happen, we reach out to hundreds of local businesses to raise funds and garner contributions to the silent auction, catering, open bar and event design.  Much of our most successful fundraising happens in person, and to that end, we welcome any and all interested parties to help our fundraising efforts.  Whether it's an hour making phone calls or a weekend day walking through Harvard Square talking to local businesses, the more help we have, the more impact we can make as an organization.

Please consider volunteering your time to help strengthen our programming and our impact on the future female leaders of Boston!
